A crowd of over 250 media executives, communications experts, government officials assembled for the 72nd General Assembly / 18th Annual General Meeting of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) hosted by TVC Communications on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
The three-in-one event which held at the TVC Communications premises in Lagos created a platform for attendees to discuss the plans and ideas for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). It was also an avenue to share new business insights and strengthen the existing bonds among broadcasters in Nigeria, create networking opportunities and appreciate broadcast partners for their contributions to the growth and development of the industry.
With the theme “Nigeria Digital Transition, a panacea for economic growth” the event also saw the swearing-in of a new BON chairman, Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim, who is the current Managing Director of Abubakar Rimi Television, Kano. She emerged chairman after the General Assembly election held during the event.
